Job description
Drifters Kitchen Bar is a family run restaurant in East Wittering, West Sussex, a mere stones throw from the beach. We are passionate about serving freshly prepared, locally sourced food and drink with style and a modern twist in a contemporary, rustic and industrial, yet relaxed setting. A perfect place to relax with friends & family. Our menu is 'Modern European' in style featuring small plates, fish and fresh meats. We offer a range of craft beers & ales, specially selected wines and spirits, as well as non-alcoholic beverages to suit every taste.
We are looking to recruit for various Front of House positions to join our professional & friendly team, including:
- Management & supervisory roles
- Experienced Front of House staff, including trainee supervisors
- Front of House team members, some experience is desirable but not essential. Suitable for students or seasonal staff. Training provided
- Trainee Front of House team members, suitable for school leavers and those without experience. Training provided
Availability
We are currently recruiting for full time positions. Ideally, you will be available at weekends and during the evenings, but we will discuss availability with candidates on a case-by-case basis.
The Front of House Role:
- Receiving and confirming walk-in, telephone and online bookings
- Welcoming and greeting customers according to company standards, and escorting them to their tables.
- Accepting and informing the relevant staff about food and beverage orders.
- Mixing and pouring beverages as needed.
- Waiting tables with drinks and food orders.
- Clearing and cleaning tables.
Required Skills
- You will have good communication skills and feel confident greeting and talking to customers
- Actively able to listen to your fellow team members and to take instruction
- You will be enthusiastic and passionate in your role
- Able to work at pace whilst multi-tasking to maintain the highest quality service
- Willing to learn, develop and go above and beyond
- An understanding of how to adapt to the needs of customers in a friendly and professional manner

Contract length: 12 months
