Job description
To fulfil this role, you must be someone, who is friendly, charismatic, and positive with a keenness to join our team. It is important that you are confident and have a common sense approach to your work. As a team member your duties will include, but are not limited to; looking after our guests, serving drinks, cooking food and keeping the venue clean. These tasks will overlap as you are expected to complete your role by multi-tasking. It is also likely you will be on shift by yourself at times carrying out all the above tasks.
The venue gets very busy, and you must be proactive when it comes to customer care. Team members are expected to be friendly and pleasant to customers, but hold the line to ensure the environment is safe and calm for all.
We serve a wide variety of drinks, and you must be able to learn the selection and how to serve the drinks. Drinks are to be served in the correct glassware, with the correct garnish. We also sell hot drinks, and you will be expected to show barista skills.
We sell a range of hot food, which you will be expected to prepare in a safe and timely way. You will be expected to have knowledge of the safe handling and preparation of food. Cleaning in the venue is expected to be done as you go. You will be expected to keep all areas of the venue clean and sanitary for the entirety of your shift.
Ideally you will have at least 6 months experience working behind a bar, and have an interest in sport. Being a personal licence holder is also desirable, but not essential. You must be 18 or over, willing and able to work both weekends and evenings. The shifts are on average 8 hours long.
In return, you will also have access to a great online training and development package to boost your knowledge and skills. We will support you in your development needs.
Drinks and food are discounted and you are able to use the facilities for free in your own time.
We are a real living wage employer and as such the hourly rate is £11 per hour. The company has a pension scheme you would have the option to join to save up for the future. Holiday requests are mostly granted and pay day is always on time!
Job offers are subject to an informal Teams Meeting, Formal interview and DBS check.
