This post attracts a welcome payment of 5% of the starting salary for the grade to enable individuals to join our permanent workforce. This is payable upon successful completion of your probationary period and is subject to eligibility criteria.


Heritage Services manage some of the UK’s most impressive buildings in Bath including the Assembly Rooms & Fashion Museum, Victoria Art Gallery and the Pump Room & Roman Baths, that is visited by over 1 million people each year.


The Operations Team performs an essential role in preparing these sites before they open to the public, keeping them safe and running smoothly during the day, and setting up for functions. This role involves a wide range of duties that include general cleaning, washroom replenishment, security patrolling and porterage duties.


The hours are based on a pro rata 37 hours per week, undertaking a 9.5 hour shift (including one hour break) on a rota basis to be confirmed. The rota includes working weekends.


Applicants must be well presented and confident when working in a busy public environment. The ability to carry out work involving manual handling is essential and training in this and other key tasks is provided.
