LOCATION: Remote Flexible working with the occasional visits to Chatham/london
TYPE: Permanent, Full - time (37.5 hrs per week)

The London Market Business (known as XIS and XCS) is a joint venture between DXC Technology, the International Underwriters Association (IUA) and Lloyd’s of London, operating in the ‘London Market’.
The ‘London Market’ is a complex ecosystem of Brokers, Managing Agents, Syndicates, Companies and Experts, all of which use shared services to underwrite premiums and pay claims.
With unrivalled knowledge of mission-critical operations, the London Market Business has over 450 employees helping insurers compete in a changing, more consumer-centric market. Our core business services involve performing checks on insurance documents, processing premium transactions and processing claims transactions.

Job Overview:
We have a fantastic opportunity for an individual who has strong operational understanding.

The Team Manager is responsible for achieving production targets through the smooth and efficient operating of their team. The role involves a strong element of team support and leadership, interpersonal, management and customer relations’ skills. Excellent personal organisation and prioritisation skills are required along with the ability to adapt to changing demands and priorities.
All work processed must meet agreed service levels in respect of quality and turnaround times.
Training will be provided for all insurance documentation / systems required to perform the role.

What you will be doing:
  • Liaise with customers and brokers to resolve queries and issues related to the claims being adjusted
  • Ownership of multiple claim teams working with in an agreed handling authority
  • Supports team members and customers with issues
  • Prepares volume forecasts for next period using historic data and awareness of current conditions
  • Produces a fully-balanced capacity plan focusing on delivery of business objectives through effective utilisation of team
  • Allocates work and resources to optimise daily outcomes
  • Monitors in-day achievement against work plan
  • Maintains accurate records of time spent on diverted activity and how staff time is distributed
  • Takes corrective action to re-plan and re-prioritise at critical points
  • Works co-operatively with colleagues to solve capacity management issues and achieve production objectives
  • Consistently manages absence within the team, adhering to the Absence Policy.

  • Computer literate with working knowledge of Outlook and MS Office
  • Work to a high level of accuracy with attention to detail
  • Strong organisational, personal and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent Customer Service skills
  • Ability to demonstrate strong negotiating and influencing skills
  • Positive attitude and natural curiosity to identify improvement
  • Experience in managing a team of professionals
  • Proven ability to deliver customer satisfaction
