Rehousing Team Manager
Are you passionate about making a positive impact on people's lives through the fair and efficient allocation of social housing? Do you possess strong leadership skills and a keen eye for policy implementation, training, and quality assurance? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our dynamic team as a Rehousing Team Manager.
As a Rehousing Team Manager, you will play a vital role in overseeing the application of our allocations policy across various teams within our housing service. You will lead a team of dedicated officers, guiding and empowering them to uphold the principles of fairness, equity, and transparency in the allocation process.
We currently have two temporary posts to fill for 12 months
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead a team of officers
- Oversee the application of our allocations policy
- Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of the service, implementing quality assurance measures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, including other departments within Sheffield City Council, partners, and external agencies.
- Apply your project experience to identify and implement innovative solutions to enhance the allocations process.
- Manage a small budget effectively
Qualifications and Experience:
- A proven track record of successfully managing teams, preferably within a social housing or related environment.
- Knowledge of social housing allocations policies, legislation, and regulations.
- Experience in policy development, implementation, and review, with a focus on enhancing fairness and transparency.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- A proactive and innovative mindset, constantly seeking opportunities to improve processes and procedures.
- Budget management experience, ensuring resources are utilized efficiently to achieve desired outcomes.
