Are you cocoa nuts about chocolate? We have a fantastic opportunity for a chocolate loving Team Leader to join the Amadeus team at Cadbury World.

Amadeus, multi award winning caterers, are a division of the NEC Group operating at venues and events in Birmingham and beyond including the NEC, the ICC, Resorts World Arena, the VOX and Utilita Arena Birmingham.

We have a fantastic opportunity available to join Freddo, the Caramel Bunny, Bertie Bassett and the team at Cadbury World as a zero hour Team Leader who can cover all aspects of catering operations on a day-to-day basis running numerous outlets situated across the venue. You will also need to support a wide range of hospitality events and conferences.

Reporting into the Catering Operations Manager, your primary responsibilities will be to support the smooth running of all aspects of the catering services. You will be responsible for delivering excellent standards of customer service, presentation, and food quality. We are looking for a Team Leader to help drive performance and excellence.

Your role will be predominately based at Cadbury World however at times you may be required to work at the group’s other venues and events. If you are a dedicated individual who is passionate about delivering excellent standards to our customers and you love chocolate, then we want you to give us a Twirl.

You must have a flexible approach to work in a 7 day a week operation hours can vary each week depending on the nature and volume of the business hours will include weekends and bank holidays.

Your duties will cover the following:
  • Assist in controlling Food and Beverage stocks, personnel and equipment
  • Responsible for delivering high standards of cleanliness, presentation, safety and hygiene in all areas
  • To ensure you, and those others working within your areas of responsibility do so in accordance with current, applicable health and safety fire safety legislation and group health and safety policies, procedures and arrangements.
  • To implement and manage those group health and safety fire safety policies, procedures and arrangements as applicable to your work activities and working environment
  • To accurately record and keep daily food safety controls
  • Ensure staff comply with cash handling procedures
  • Train and motivate staff to use up selling techniques and to understand promotions
  • Coach and lead a team to deliver excellent standards of customer service
  • Ability to build and lead an effective team
  • Able to supervise up to 20 workers within a catering unit meeting daily sales targets
  • Motivate, coach and develop a team
  • Excellent communication skills and can communicate effectively at all levels including client and their own team
  • Assist in the planning and preparation
  • Able to team lead at least two different catering styles of outlet e.g. self service restaurant and bar
  • Assist with basic food preparation as required
  • Attend management meetings and training courses as required
  • Ability to deliver change and new ideas
  • Computer literate

The role will require energy, confidence, problem solving skills and some previous supervisory experience. In return you will receive training, great opportunities to progress and get to work with people who enjoy what they do and offer great and fast service to all their customers.

We are looking for someone who has previous supervisory experience in a related industry such as Restaurants, Pubs, Bars, Contract Catering, Hotels, Leisure or Food, Retail preferred but not essential. However, experience of working in a fast paced customer focused environment is essential.
