We are currently looking for Team Leaders, to join our teams at Sycamore Hall, providing care and support to people living in these Extra Care facilities and sometimes in the nearby community,
You will directly report to a Registered Manager as the Care Quality Commission regulates the service, and you will help to ensure the service is CQC compliant. You will develop personal outcome care and support plans, and put in place risk assessments that ensure that the direct care and support provided by the team within a person’s own home is, safe, effective, responsive, caring and well led.
The ability to work at a fast pace, communicate, interact and relate to different people is key within this role. This role is more than just clerical; you will be person-centred to support residents and manage staff. We believe in maintaining dignity, choice and control, respecting a person’s human rights and maximising the independence and wellbeing of those we support. This is vital within Extra Care settings, and we continually strive to achieve this within our teams
As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for the performance of a team of Care & Support Workers, including supervision, appraisal and performance management. Taking a proactive approach to monitoring and managing sickness and dealing with issues arising from sickness absence.
Staff who work in the teams have said that no day is the same. They say it is rewarding to support people to live independently and like that at times they need to think ‘outside of the box’ to problem solve. They say they also find it rewarding that they are enabling each person they support to achieve their personal goals.Tenants receiving service say that they appreciate everything the team and managers do for them ,they say all the staff are fantastic and love to see them about
Qualification requirements - Whilst we require an NVQ level 3 in Care/Promoting Independence or CQF Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care,, we will support those who have a minimum of NVQ Level 2 Care/Promoting Independence, or QCF Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care, to achieve the Level 3 within 12 months of commencing in post.

An enhanced DBS clearance is a requirement of the post
The role involves oversight and management of other Extra Care facilities in the absence of other managers, and /or to support other managers. This is often in an emergency, and therefore the ability to get to a different site quickly is essential .You will be required to work evening and weekends on a rota basis in line with the 7 day service.
