In terms what we do, we provide our independents and national account customers with a next day delivery service, picked from our own warehouses (6) and delivered primary on our own fleet. This drives customer loyalty and ensures the long-term success of the business and with over 200 suppliers and 9,000 products servicing over 2000 customers this is a complicated undertaking that requires careful and detailed planning supported by excellent team management and strict adherence to processes and rules.
The Role
This role requires a Team Leader to work alongside the Gamston Night Shift Manager to assist with the daily and strategic Operation of the warehouse to fulfil all customer demands through all of our delivery streams.
We are looking for a result driven individual, who is curious, tenacious, detail orientated and demonstrates leadership skills. Self-motivated and can build rapport at all levels of the business to give clarity of communication, deliver change and support a culture of right first time.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Shift Manager, responsible for Leading the Warehouse team to ensure all KPI’s and costs are met.
- Utilizing statistical information to manage individual & team performance.
- Responsible for ensuring all Warehouse/System processes are followed correctly at all times.
- In the absence of the Shift Manager, responsible for managing and reporting against all aspects of the Warehouse operation.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and added value whilst ensuring that key service levels are not only sustained but improved upon.
- Lead and develop Warehouse Team members to create a highly successful, Productive and engaged team.
- Ensure that all team members demonstrate a proactive approach to Health & Safety within the work place.
- Promote Company values within the Warehouse to create an excellent working environment.
- Pro-active approach to both employee engagement and development.
