Location: Whilst your base office will be in Exeter, we’ll support you to work flexibly from home (providing a suite of IT equipment), whilst coming together on site to offer face to face support and collaboration when required.

Join EDF as a Business Analyst where you will be defining the business intent of any given change, articulate this through requirements and own this through the delivery lifecycle.
The opportunity…
You will be working with a Senior Business Analyst, Business Consultant or Project Manager to decide the right approach, products, and plan for the successful delivery of a specific problem statement. You will use recognised business analysis skills, ensuring adoption of best practice standards.
Co-ordinating and supporting the construction of robust business cases for medium and small-scale business change initiatives you will source data and financial information, scrutinise suggested benefits, and identify additional benefits to maximise extracted value of the proposed change.
Development of the initial project concept, for small or medium change projects, elaborating the primary business objectives, clarifying the scope and impacts of the proposed change and identifying the initial risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies that affect the successful outcome of the project.
Undertake information and data gathering, providing analysis on the collated information, documenting requirements and presenting findings to relevant stakeholders at all levels. In addition, support change within the business areas by changing existing business processes and develop new processes in order to optimise performance improvement and business benefit.
What we’re looking for…
You will be an experienced business analyst with strong proven analytical skills.
You need to be able to collaborate with our business teams to understand the opportunity and operating landscape including the proactive identification of strategic optimisation and enhancements to core systems & processes. Using your recognised business analytical skills, you will translate this into requirements to drive the required change. This is likely to involved data analysis, business modelling techniques, process mapping, requirement/user story creation and prioritisation.
Having a broad business and industry knowledge will help you create solutions that deliver the intended business benefit for EDF Business Solutions. This will involve being able to build the case for change by providing a robust business case and engaging with stakeholders to influence the change pipeline.
Understanding of business process analysis and design techniques, including the use of Business Analysis Modelling and collaborative tools, such as Miro, Confluence & Jira and how they underpin the development of business improvements. Understanding of standard methods and techniques [BA competency / ISEB] with the ability to select the appropriate approach for a particular assignment. Knowledge of the approaches to deliver projects, including online, web and digital using an Agile methodology
Demonstrate excellent communication, presentation, and written skills. Ability to be flexible and work analytically in a problem-solving environment, with attention to detail, a commitment to quality and the ability to think strategically. Proven ability to work independently and as a team member, demonstrating organisational, multi-tasking and time management skills. Sensitivity to business constraints and operational objectives in area of assignment. Good workshop facilitation and interview skills, including negotiation and influencing skills.
