Leading CRO seeks talented Statistician to take on a team leader role in Biostatistics department!
Our Client, a leading global contract research organization provides discovery, development and post-approval services as well as compound partnering programs. Their clients and partners include pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, academic and government organizations.
The Team Lead position will contribute in supervising functions of the Biostatistics and Statistical Programming staff within the Department of Biostatistics. Team Leader will be involved in hiring, training and mentoring staff. Manages project timelines, budgets, and resource. Effectively assigns and communicates priorities and work direction to ensure completion of assigned tasks on time and within budget. Oversees the statistical aspects of clinical trials from design through analysis and reporting, acting as the lead statistician on multiple projects.
Ideal candidate will demonstrated the ability to successfully lead the biostatistics elements of multiple clinical projects simultaneously and also provide appropriate mentoring of staff.
You will have an Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in statistics, or related field. BSc qualifications will be considered with good relevant industry and statistical experience.
You must have CRO or Pharma experience.
You must have SAS programming experience.
You must have had some line management experience, which will include the performance and career review tasks, rather than just project team leading.
Strong Knowledge of Statistical principles underlying clinical trials and strong statistical skills, SAS programming skills and experience and familiarity of other statistical packages (e.g StatXact Nquery) and principles applied to the design and analysis of clinical trials is essential.
Salary 35 – 50K
