Our centres are divided into classes based on size and play style such as Agility Adventures, featuring agility obstacles to unlock the doggy senses and Curiosity Corner with a sensory zone and open spaces to run and play with canine companions.
Having secured private equity investment, Bruce’s is poised to take advantage of their lead and expand to create a national group of dog day care nurseries and we are now looking for a Team Leader and Senior Team leader to support our Cobham site.
Key responsibilities:
The Team Leader supports the Centre Manager with onsite operations. They will have an enthusiastic approach in supporting the Carers and Drivers with their daily operations.
Dog welfare is at the heart of everything they do. The Team Leader understands the Bruce’s Difference and how this ties all business decisions and operations back to making every dog’s experience the best it can possibly be.
- Ensure Carers are engaging with every dog at every visit.
- Maintain the highest level of dog hygiene, always.
- Engage with the dogs when in the field, building strong relationships with every dog.
- Identify challenges that affect dog welfare, including but not limited to, dogs that seem quiet and less engaged, as well as those misbehaving.
- Assist the Centre Manager in ensuring the Carers are cleaning the fields, maintain cleanliness in their buildings, identifying broken or dangerous agility equipment and ensure all dogs have good access to water.
- Support the Centre Manager to deliver on dog engagement plans and periodic activity. This includes reaching our weekly goal, all customers receiving a photo.
- Continually improve dog engagement and support carers where needed.
- Ensure every human customer’s experience is always exceptional.
- Assist with new customer meetings where needed, this includes supporting the office with existing customer bookings and phone calls.
- Supporting the Centre Manager in daily field and dog management, including the upkeep and maintenance of all equipment.
- People management.
- Support the Centre Manager with Carer development and the logistics of onboarding and training for new Carers and Drivers.
Ideal candidate:
- Someone who enjoys dogs company and be comfortable handling dogs
- Be happy working outdoors, in all weather
- Can demonstrate that you can deliver great customer service
- Be well presented, well spoken with good communication skills
- Demonstrate that you are reliable and trustworthy
- Must be happy to have a DBS check as required
- Have a passion for working with dogs and be able to demonstrate this
- Must work well in a team and be able multi-task and work proactively

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £22,000.00-£23,500.00 per year
