The Role:
We are looking for a highly motivated Team Leader to join the Asset Management Team. The team forms an integral part of the Hampshire Highways service which manages the highway asset within Hampshire.

Hampshire County Council is responsible for managing one of the largest local authority road networks in the country. It is the most valuable physical asset that we are responsible for and is fundamental to the economic, social, and environmental wellbeing of the community.

This role is an exciting opportunity to help deliver asset management functions that are essential to the delivery of an efficient and sustainable highway service that supports our local needs and priorities.

As a Team Leader you’ll be responsible for developing and managing a wide range of projects and play an important role in identifying and implementing service improvements. You will be involved in developing innovative ways to collect, analyse and use data strategically that will help to inform business decisions, drive efficiencies, and improve the delivery of the highway service.

The role requires you to be a confident communicator and a dynamic problem solver. You’ll need to be able to manage and prioritise competing workloads effectively, have a systematic approach to working and be comfortable working with a wide range of IT systems.

The role will be based at our Winchester office, however as part of Hampshire County Council’s Open Workplace Policy, the successful candidate can undertake the majority of their work at home, subject to business requirements. The team currently work in the Winchester based office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays although you are welcome to work in the office on a more regular basis if you would prefer.
