Our dedicated investment managers take care of everything associated with the day-to-day running of a portfolio, from determining and maintaining the most appropriate blend of assets, to monitoring and managing risk, to dealing and administration.
About this opportunity:
We are now looking to appoint an Assistant Administrator in our Cardiff office to take responsibility for some of the day-to-day administration and general support for the office, provide support to senior colleagues dealing with various tasks to ensure the smooth running of the team and office. The ideal candidate will have administration experience in financial services or alternatively we will consider those with good attention to detail and are quick learners. You may also be a school leaver or looking to kick start your career in wealth management. This opportunity will give you the desired knowledge and skills to progress in your role within RBC Brewin Dolphin.
Responsibilities include:
- Communicating with Investment Managers, Financial Advisers, and clients over the phone and face-to-face
- Preparing and processing all new client documentation and amendments
- Liaising with colleagues within Business Support regarding administration of client accounts
- Preparing Meeting Packs
- Ensuring client details and reviews are recorded correctly on CRM systems
- General record keeping and electronic filing using DMS
- Processing of payment instructions
- Process of portfolio transfers
- Adhering to Conduct Risk standards
- Mail Merges using Microsoft Excel

Experience:
- Previous administration experience is preferred – additional training will be provided.
- Ability to type preferred but not essential
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Word/Excel/Outlook preferred.
- Comfortable learning to work with new online systems.
