Your responsibilities
To manage and grow offline accounts in the UK marketplace by both leading and supporting the external sales force and prospecting /selling to new and existing customers to ensure Arden Grange performs to target in our B2B business sector.
Work closely with the B2B In-bound and Commercial Team Lead to ensure a strong and consistent offering is available in offline accounts (sometimes with an Online presence)
Grow the Arden Grange brand through good sales technique/service, strong product knowledge, understanding of brand heritage and knowledge about an ever-growing product portfolio.
· Day-to-day management and operations of Sales Representatives (Area Managers)
· Conduct regular store visits and audits both with and without Area Managers
· Direct responsibility for some major UK offline accounts and liaison with MD on JBP’s
· Work closely with B2B and D2C and Brand teams to ensure consistency in the marketplace.
· Grow business with existing accounts to targets, including Wholesalers & Breeders
· Support new product launches and initiatives
· Assist in Implementing CPI’s
· Work closely with NPD, Branding and Online Marketing teams to identify any opportunities in the marketplace.
· Complete monthly paperwork and reports in a timely manner.
· Identify exclusive promotional opportunities and ensure successful implementation of campaigns.
· Identify potential new customers/SKU’s and achieve sales to targets
· Ensure all KPI’s and targets are met both individually and collectively as a team
· You will conduct regular appraisals of your team in accordance with HR requirements
· You will identify opportunities for growth of the company and the sales teams you are responsible for
· You will travel three to four days per week (two nights away from home most weeks) throughout the UK and sell to/train and entertain accounts combined with regular face to face and VC meetings with customers and team. You will travel to Germany twice a year minimum as required.
Your profile
· You will always be very self-motivated and be driven by targets and deadlines.
· You will maintain strong verbal and written communication skills along with a friendly and approachable demeaner at all times. You will be a strong team player and have the ability to adapt self/team quickly to policy changes and implement accordingly
· You should be prepared to undertake extensive training regarding the UK pet industry – prior experience would be advantageous
· You will have confidence in negotiating with and handling large revenue accounts and motivating sales teams
· You should have sales experience of managing a wider team and extensive sales experience of direct face to face sales
· You should have strong negotiation skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Your Computer skills to include Excel/PowerPoint should be extensive as well as some CRM knowledge
