RWE is looking for a full time Offshore Consents Team Lead within the Offshore Wind Development Team with a focus on leading the UK & Ireland Offshore Consents Operations, End-of-life/ Decommissioning and Portfolio-wide team.
At RWE you will have a dynamic job where relationships building, hands-on decision making and progression will be an integral part of your daily work. In the role as Team Lead Offshore Consents you will be responsible for the line management and development of those in the Operations, Decommissioning and strategic consents team, provide strategic support, resource management of team, contribute to the continual improvement of consenting processes & tools plus work with the Head of Offshore Consents in the wider service provision to the development, operational and decommissioning projects

Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the provision, strategic direction, personnel development and the line management of resources that perform the offshore consenting activities (including operations, decommissioning and portfolio-wide roles (commercial fisheries and HRA) across the UK&I Offshore projects (including the management of any related external resource).
- Working with the relevant teams to ensuring the delivery of relevant consents and consenting strategy to development, construction, operational and end-of-life projects within the region to expected time, cost and quality to enable activities to continue.
- Resource planning: ensuring that team is skilled and sized accordingly to meet the projected business demand and its regional growth.
- Promote best practices (processes and tools) ensuring internal standards are applied and there is a consistent approach as far as practicable. Contribute to, and drive, the continual improvement of our consenting practice.
- Deputise for Head of Offshore Consents UK & Ireland when required.
- Contribute to, and own where applicable, strategic management initiatives and activities within the UK & Ireland consenting function.
Experience & Skills
- Relevant experience in leading teams (either from line or functional perspective) with an ability to lead, inspire, manage and delegate effectively.
- Detailed understanding of offshore and onshore planning issues, and strong track record of consenting
- Able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of the Project Management discipline and familiar with relevant best practice.
- Success driven personality, dedicated to deliver growth.
- Deep-seated HSE and wellbeing mindset.
- Effective networking skills and track record of building trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven ability to persuade, challenge and build credibility at all levels and across functions of the business.
- Ability to be proactive and take responsibility for a wide range of matters, while responding to business demands.
Qualifications
- University degree preferable; Business level English essential.
