Overview of project/role
The Strategy and Innovation Directorate (c.70 people), are looking for a team administrator to provide support to the teams across the Directorate.
Working as part of the Director’s Office, the work will be varied and will include, but not limited to diary management, team meeting organisation and prep, support of ad-hoc tasks such as developing new starter information etc.
This is a great opportunity for a driven individual with strong attention-to-detail, to work in a fun, fast-paced environment, with lots of opportunity to get involved in wider initiatives within the team.
We are open to an individual with no prior experience in an office environment. The most important thing is a willingness to learn, strong attention to detail, ability to build working relationships and solve problems.
We are also open to flexible working requests, this role is suitable for a job-share opportunity.
Key Accountabilities
- Provide meeting support for Senior Managers, including scheduling meetings, room bookings etc.
- Ensure the smooth and efficient running of the office and maintain an excellent level of service to teams
- Collect and collate specific sets of information on a day-to-day basis and manage relationships around this collection process.
- Conform to procedures and formats for relevant documentation and recommend improvements where possible.
- Distribute key documentation by most appropriate methods and meet deadlines as required.
- Carry out other activities as determined by manager or supervisor.
Skills:
- Attention to detail
- Ability to problem solve
- Ability to provide support in / for meetings including preparing supporting papers
- Ability to use Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Ability to build effective working relationships with people at all levels across the organisation

- Experience of organising effectively to deliver against goals
- Experience of dealing with a variety of people
- Experience of effective use of computer systems
