Burleigh College is an exciting brand of training provider. We have been established since 1989. Since 1989 we have been funded by The Employment Service, Jobcentre Plus, LSC, SFA, ESFA, GLA and LDA as well as a range of FE Colleges and private lead providers. We have been lead partner on two successful PILOT programmes for the DWP and the SFA developing innovative ways of working with disadvantaged groups and moving them into sustainable employment. Our goal is to deliver the right skills, to the right people, at the right time. We work in partnership with Colleges, Charities, Councils and Private Training Providers to deliver skills to enhance peoples’ lives through progression into work or at work
The Role
The post holder will provide essential, high quality administrative support and deliver a range of core activities throughout the learner journey to enhance the learner experience. They will cover a range of duties for a variety of courses: being the first point of contact for any learner enquiries; supporting inductions and enrolments throughout the year. Recent experience in Administration is preferred.
They will be expected to demonstrate excellent communication skills and build positive and effective relationships with the wider College community, learners and stakeholders including our external bodies. Meticulous maintenance of the required auditable evidence required under the ESFA/ESF funding rules.
The successful candidate will be an effective communicator and team player, able to prioritise their workload whilst maintaining strong attention to detail and have a proven track record of delivering excellent customer service.
Duties will include:
- Able to liaise with and co-ordinate with learners
- Enrolling learners including eligibility of different programmes
- Excellent administration skills with an eye for detail
- Accurate completion of paperwork
- Computer literate in Word, Excel,Google Sheets, Google Documents and Internet
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Target driven
- KPI's are monitored to ensure targets are met for enrolments
- Empathy with our unemployed learner base
- A commitment to Equality of Opportunity, Prevent and Safeguarding of learners
- Good team worker
- Capable of working independently and problem solving
- Methodical approach to paperwork
- Attendance at Jobcentres and other referral organisations to engage with and enrol learners (when required)
- To carry out other duties as may reasonably be required from time to time.
- Clear Enhanced DBS check is required which we will undertake
Training will be given to the successful applicant.
Salary will be reviewed after 3 months.

Testing twice weekly for all staff, learners are unable to enter premises without a negative COVID test result and premises is sanitised every day.
