The Leverhulme Centre for the Future of Intelligence invites applications for 3 part-time teaching Fellows 0.2-0.3FTE to contribute to course development, teaching and examining of graduate students on our MSt in AI Ethics and Society and MPhil in AI, Data and Algorithms. The appointments will be for 2 years in the first instance.
We are looking for candidates with initiative, excellent communication and organisational skills, and a broad intellectual range. You will have proven specialist academic interest in a subject related to AI ethics and society (PhD or equivalent experience in a related area), a strong commitment to CFI's core aims, and the ability to maintain and develop your knowledge in related subject areas, such as, but not constrained to, history, philosophy, sociology, anthropology or law. You will have good teaching skills and be able to effectively support and encourage students to learn.
These varied roles include the planning and delivery of lectures, seminars and classes and contributing to curriculum design. You will lead seminars and online discussions with students. You will be involved in marking and assessment, outreach activities and open days. You will contribute to the teaching and logistics of the termly in-person residentials, and help to develop on-line learning resources.
Leverhulme CFI is a highly interdisciplinary research centre addressing the challenges and opportunities posed by artificial intelligence (AI). Funded by the Leverhulme Trust, CFI is based at the University of Cambridge, with partners in the University of Oxford, Imperial College, and UC Berkeley. This is an exciting opportunity to join our friendly education team and contribute to the development of this important new field of study.
