Contract type: Fixed Term for 2 year (possibility of becoming permanent), 39 weeks a year
Location: Mickleover Primary School
The Governors wish to appoint a Teaching Assistant to join the friendly and caring staff in our school. The successful candidate will work 1:1 in Reception, with a child to support them in achieving the outcomes of their EHCP. This post will follow the child through to year1.
The successful candidate will have;
  • Experience of working with children with ASD and learning needs
  • NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistants or Supporting Learning in Schools or equivalent qualification or experience
  • Experience of working with or caring for children of a relevant age to those in the school
  • Experience of working with programmes to develop children’s social, emotional and communication skills
  • Good Literacy and numeracy skills
  • The ability to plan and deliver interventions under the guidance of the class teacher, SENDCO or Inclusion Manger
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent team working skills
