Job description
The Governors wish to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant at St James’ CofE Junior School. The post is for an immediate start, where possible. St James Junior School is a friendly and welcoming school, with an emphasis on promoting high standards across a broad and exciting curriculum. We will offer the successful applicant a professional supportive environment that is dedicated to staff development working in partnership with parents, the local community and Derby Diocese.

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who is:
- Committed to supporting our Church School vision and values.
- Is passionate about inclusion and nurture and able to support the learning of all children in a mainstream environment.
- Able to inspire and engage children to make excellent progress across the whole curriculum.
- Has good understanding of the development of language including for those children who are new to English.
- Has the ability to reflect on and develop their own practice.
- A well organised and proactive team player who will make a positive contribution to our school team.
