What you will be doing?:
The Support Worker will provide support to the counselling team over a 7 day week, to cover some evenings up to 10pm. The role will involve providing one to one support and structured low-level psychoeducational sessions and group work. Also providing motivational support to clients in individual sessions and assisting the Clouds House team in the effective organization of all appropriate treatment sessions.
Attention to security, health and safety and risk will also be key aspects of the role.

Clouds House is one of Forward’s residential substance misuse treatment centre in East Knoyle, Wiltshire. Clouds delivers a structured 12 Step treatment programme, designed to help dependent substance users maintain abstinence and develop long term sustainable recovery. Over the last 38 years Clouds has helped over 12,000 clients work towards a life in recovery and helped to create a growing recovery culture through our alumni. Our ambition is to significantly increase this recovery capital, offering treatment to as many clients, irrespective of means, as possible.

- Good observational and reporting skills.
- Understanding of and commitment to the principles of equality and diversity, confidentiality, health and safety.
- Ability to engage effectively with the client group, including holding strong professional boundaries, conflict resolution and working with challenging behaviour.
- Ability to work alone using own initiative
- A thorough knowledge of and commitment to the 12-step process of recovery from addiction.
- Experience of working in a residential rehabilitation setting or similar.
- Experience of delivering therapeutic groups.
