We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic General Teaching Assistant for KS2 to join our team Heaton Chapel. This position involves providing support the KS2 children within the school. As a General Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting teachers and promoting a positive learning environment for our students. Responsibilities: Assist teachers in delivering lessons and supporting student learning. Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who may need additional help. Assist with the preparation of teaching materials and resources. Support students in their social and emotional development. Help maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment. Promote positive behaviour and engagement among students. Foster positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/guardians. Follow the school's policies and procedures to ensure a structured learning environment. Collaborate with teachers to implement strategies and interventions as needed. Requirements: Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant is desirable but not essential. A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their learning. Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with teachers and staff. Flexibility and adaptability to work across different classrooms and year groups. Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach to working with students. Basic knowledge of curriculum and educational practices. Understanding of safeguarding procedures and commitment to child protection.
