Hartley Brook Primary Academy has an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to join their team on a fixed term basis. We are looking for someone who is caring and patient and who is committed to their own development, and to the view that children deserve a fantastic school experience.
The Role
To work under the direct instruction of teaching/senior staff or appropriate Teaching Staff. To undertake work/care/support programmes to enable access to learning for pupils to assist the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom. Work may be carried out in the classroom or outside the main teaching area.
You will also provide general support in a specific curricula/resource area, including preparation, and maintenance of resources and support to staff and pupils.
Key Accountabilities
- Supervision of pupils on school premises
- Maintenance of good order, welfare and discipline
- Encouraging positive situations with children.
Our Ideal Candidate will:
- Have experience of working with children.
- Have experience of working with children of different ages (3 to 11 desirable)
- Have up to date knowledge of good practice in Primary Education
