Job Description
Toranj Tuition is an Approved National Tutoring Programme (NTP) Provider based in Kingston upon Hull. As a NTP Tutor, you will deliver tuition to children and young people, delivering tuition on a 1:1 or small group basis. We are looking for friendly, dedicated and enthusiastic tutors to provide tuition to our learners in a range of subjects including Math, English, Science and French at primary and secondary levels in our partner schools. In exchange, we offer full training, flexibility and an hourly rate above the National Living Wage. The appointment is subject to the successful completion of our training programme and a DBS check.

Tutors are hired on a self-employed basis and should be available to work for at least three consecutive hours per week.
Responsibilities:
- Plan tutorial sessions based on learner requirements and requests.
- Deliver engaging content designed to improve learners’ attainment in the requested subject.
- Complete learner reports, viewable by parents / guardians / carers / teachers.
- Complete essential training and remain up-to-date on guidance updates issued by Toranj Tuition.
- Maintain Toranj Tuition’s safeguarding and confidentiality responsibilities.

Manage and update the standards as appropriate to the role. Safeguarding standards are monitored and maintained in compliance with organisational policy. Appropriate safeguarding training is provided, and standards are reviewed and updated as required.
Senior Managers
Ensure organisational safeguarding strategies reflect statutory requirements and best practice. Ensure these are understood and implemented within the area of responsibility. There is a proactive and positive Safeguarding Culture. The organisation meets its statutory Safeguarding requirements. Strategic risks are effectively managed.
