SEN Teaching Assistant
£400 - £550 per week dependent on experience

We are currently recruiting candidates to join an exceptional team, a specialist Primary School catering to pupils in Key Stages 1 and 2.
As a member of the team, you will have the opportunity to work in a supportive and inclusive environment, providing care for children with Social Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties (SEMH) as identified in their Educational Health and Care Plan. The school are proud to offer specialist places for these children, ensuring their educational needs are met with the utmost dedication.
Additionally, the school plays a vital role in Manchester's educational landscape by offering places to children who are at risk of exclusion or have faced permanent exclusion. You will have the chance to work closely with these children, providing them with a second chance to thrive academically and emotionally.
The role & responsibilities
· Depending on the complexity of the needs, class sizes range between six and ten pupils. Each class is led by a teacher, and a team of at least two teaching assistants.
· Working here requires individuals who are resilient, as the challenges can be demanding. However, the rewards are immeasurable. You will have the opportunity to make a lasting difference in the lives of these exceptional children, contributing to their growth and academic achievements
· Assist the teacher with the development and implementation of individual Education/Behaviour/Support/Mentoring plans.
· Develop 1:1 mentoring arrangements with pupils and provide support for distressed pupils.
· Challenge and motivate pupils, promote and reinforce self esteem
· Provide objective and accurate feedback and reports as required, to the teacher on pupil achievement, progress and other matters, ensuring the availability of appropriate evidence.
