THE SCHOOL
At Laxton Junior School, our children and their learning are the centre of all that we do. In a caring and supportive environment, they become exceptional, lifelong learners, who confidently embrace the wide-ranging opportunities that we offer and are able to face challenges with determination and resilience. We believe that all learning opportunities should be challenging, inspiring and engaging and, through our talented and passionate staff, we ensure this contributes to fantastic progress across and beyond the curriculum; which, in turn leads to a smooth transition into senior school. As a non-selective school, the personalised learning programmes that we have in place ensure that all our children, from those with additional learning needs to those working beyond age-related expectations, receive the perfect balance of support and challenge, alongside a sense of fun and enjoyment that must accompany the school experience.
the Role
We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join our Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 team to take effect from September 2023 or as soon as possible thereafter. The successful candidate will become part of a welcoming and engaged community of teachers, teaching assistants and support staff, all of whom are committed to supporting our children to become fantastic young people who are ready for the challenges and opportunities that lie beyond our school.
The successful candidate will, in conjunction with the Class Teachers and other Teaching Assistants at Laxton Junior School, support the teaching and learning process in Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2, ensuring that all children are able to make fantastic progress, and will provide an outstanding level of care and support to all children, such that they feel happy and valued during their daily experiences.
It is important that the appointed Teaching Assistant embrace the Laxton Junior School Values of a love of learning, care, opportunity, community and quality, and that they are committed to integrating into a superb team that has children very much at the heart of all it does. We are looking for someone who is passionate about working in schools and with children, is creative and enthusiastic, and is able to motivate and inspire young people to overcome challenges and achieve in all that they do.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a kind, dedicated and talented Teaching Assistant to become a part of our fantastic school, and join a happy community of children, families and staff, who have the highest expectations of themselves and each other.
