Help transform lives by joining our team.

A breakthrough can seem like the smallest thing, but it can make the world of difference to someone on the autism spectrum. By becoming a teaching assistant/ learning mentor you’ll help make every day breakthroughs happen more often.

We need you to be resilient, supportive and sensitive towards the needs of autistic people. Being a teaching assistant takes bravery, patience and commitment but working with autistic people gives so much more in return.

You may have a personal connection, a desire to work with or real-life experiences working with autistic people. You might not have lots of experience yet, but if you share our values and are willing to make a difference to the lives of autistic people, we’d love to hear from you.

We offer a fantastic one-year induction programme, continuing learning and development opportunities, regular one to ones, annual appraisals, and the support you need to develop a career in social care. Along with a host of benefits – from shopping discounts to flexible working and a competitive pension scheme.

We are looking for Teaching Assistants with experience of working with Autistic pupils and those with more complex diagnosis such as PDA, ADHD or OCD.

You must be prepared to use initiative and work in a non-directive and non-confrontational way. You must have good written and verbal communication skills.

Preferably a Level 3 qualification or equivalent. You must possess at least a relevant Level 2 qualification.

You will also possess GCSE Maths and English (Grades A-C) or equivalent or be willing to gain these qualifications within your first year of employment.
