We produce over 2,500 hours of content per year, have offices in 22 markets globally, including six production bases in the UK and production bases and partnerships in a further nine countries around the world. The business generates revenue of £1.4bn, returning around £200m profit to BBC Public Service each year. In the UK, BBC Studios enables audiences to enjoy their favourite BBC programmes and brands outside the licence fee-funded window on alternative platforms, through a range of partnerships, and in multiple formats, from products and magazines to events and experiences.

Our teams are based in 12 global markets, taking the best of British content from both the UK BBC Studios production arm, as well as several independent UK and international production companies to produce and distribute it to the world.

Our Factual and Entertainment successes include Dancing with the Stars (known in the UK as Strictly Come Dancing which is licensed to 60 territories), Love Productions’ Great Bake Off (licensed to over 40 territories), and Weakest Link (licensed in more than 45 territories, most recently returning to screens on NBC in the USA hosted by Jane Lynch and the UK with Romesh Ranganathan). We are also one of the top growing scripted format production and distribution teams, with localised versions of hit shows like Doctor Foster, The Office, Luther, and Criminal Justice now remade in places as far as France, Korea, the USA, and India.
