Job description

Schedule:
Wednesday 2:00pm-6:00pm

Pay: $25 / hour

Responsibilities

Help maintain studio tasks and processing of student work.
Assist activity specialist/instructors assist in managing classes.
Follow all safety and emergency procedures and guidelines;
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Experience working in a ceramic studio: stacking and firing kilns, recycling clay, making glazes and general studio maintenance.
Teaching experience a plus but not necessary
Experience working with elementary age children
Should be a practicing ceramic artist.
Willingness to learn, work hard and take responsibility;
Excellent references;
Commitment to Manhattan Youth’s mission.

Ceramic Studio and Teaching Assistant

Some availability to have studio time for yourself. We will fire your pieces.
