Job description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Math Teaching Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Math teacher in planning, preparing and delivering high-quality lessons to students. You will be working with students of different ages and abilities, providing support and guidance to help them achieve their full potential.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting the Math teacher in planning and preparing lessons
- Supporting students during classwork and homework
- Providing one-to-one support to students who need extra help
- Helping to maintain a positive and safe learning environment
- Marking and providing feedback on student work
- Attending staff meetings and training sessions as required
- Supporting the Math teacher in monitoring student progress and reporting to parents/guardians
- Performing other duties as required
Requirements:
- A degree in Mathematics or a related subject
- Experience working with students in an educational setting
- Knowledge of the national curriculum for Mathematics
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team
- Patience and the ability to remain calm under pressure
- A commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of all students
