Position Overview:
The Teaching Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting students with special educational needs within a school or educational institution. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers, special education coordinators, and other professionals to help create an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students with diverse needs.
Responsibilities:
Provide Individual Support: Assist students on a one-on-one basis, offering personalised support and guidance as per their individual education plans (IEPs) or specific learning requirements.
Classroom Assistance: Collaborate with teachers to support students with special needs during classroom activities, ensuring they can fully participate and engage in learning.
Resource Preparation: Help in the preparation and adaptation of teaching materials, resources, and equipment to meet the specific needs of students.
Behaviour Management: Implement behaviour management strategies and techniques to promote positive behaviour and engagement within the classroom environment.
Communication and Collaboration: Regularly communicate and collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals involved in the student's education to provide updates, share insights, and ensure a holistic approach to support.
Inclusion Support: Foster a culture of inclusivity and diversity within the school community, promoting equal opportunities and supporting integration of students with special educational needs.

Part-time hours: 37.5 per week
Salary: £80.00-£85.00 per day
