Teaching Assistant (SEND)

Hours of Post: 20 hours per week

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday – 8:30am to 12:30pm

Contract Type: Fixed Term till 31st August 2024, Term Time only

Salary: Scale 3, points 5 to 6 - £21,575 to £21,968 FTE

(salary will be pro rata to part time / term time hours)

Start Date of Post: 4th September 2023

We wish to appoint a Teaching Assistant with experience of supporting Special Educational Needs in the primary age range.

The main duties of this role will involve:

• Supporting children in lessons as well as with their medical needs and social and emotional well-being.

• Supporting pupils with EHCPs and SEND Support Plans with their learning and development in both the classroom and our Resource Base.

• Work under the guidance of teaching staff, Inclusion Manager and outside agencies in order to implement and evaluate agreed work programmes.

We are looking for someone who is flexible, committed and can show initiative. The successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively with teaching staff, the Inclusion Manager and work efficiently within the SEND team.
