About the role
The post holder will be a member of the Teaching and Learning professional services team led by the Department’s two Teaching and Learning Managers. The post will be one of three Teaching and Learning Co-ordinators in the team. The Teaching and Learning team (13 in total) is responsible for the delivery of a high quality administrative service and student experience for the Department’s taught undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
The post is designed to provide comprehensive support on the Department’s teaching programmes and is responsible for the effective line management of a team. The post will ensure best practice is implemented across the teaching administration team and address issues that arise, by providing leadership, training and support. The post holder will provide specialist administration to teaching and learning on taught programmes, ensuring effective procedures are documented and adopted for dealing with all aspects of programme administration.
The primary focus of the post will be on delivering an excellent student experience and leading and supporting the wider Teaching and Learning administration team. The post will ensure that programme information is created and updated in time for student enrolment, including updating programme information on internal and external facing webpages, ensuring information is accurate and comply with Competition and Marketing Authority standards.

About you
Experience of working in a higher education environment with a good understanding of the academic cycle, evidence of excellent administrative skills and a highly proactive approach to providing a comprehensive support service including providing a student/customer service, a demonstrable ability to understand and work within given procedures and policies and experience leading a team and setting objectives are essential.
Experience of working with student records systems would be desirable.
