Camden School for Girls is a highly successful and oversubscribed inner London comprehensive secondary school with a rich historical heritage. The school was founded in 1871 by Frances Mary Buss, a pioneer for women’s education and the school has a long-standing history of ambition and excellence for all pupils regardless of background. We have a warm, welcoming and supportive ethos and aspire to excellence in all areas of the school provision. We have a strong sense of community and we foster an environment where everyone feels valued. We have been identified five times by government ministers as one of the top 100 schools in the country.
We are looking for a passionate historian, a strong practitioner and an individual with the highest ambition for all students. The department is high performing and makes a very important contribution to the strong reputation of Camden School for Girls. The successful candidate for this post has an exciting and fulfilling time ahead of them. The department is experienced, highly knowledgeable and innovative, bringing an exceptional standard of history, sociology and politics education to all pupils. We are looking for someone who can inspire, who is inclusive in approach and who is robust, thorough and diligent, with a strong track record of results.
