Bede is an Outstanding Sixth Form provider within the Tees Valley, with a 99% pass rate. In our last Ofsted inspection, May 2022, we received Outstanding grades in Behaviour and Attitudes, Personal development, Leadership and Management and Education Programmes for Young People. We are an innovative and destination driven Sixth Form offering a wide range of both A level and vocational provision to the community. Our staff are skilled, high performing and committed to our learners. Due to the retirement of one of our members of staff we now wish to appoint a teacher of A level Criminology. Although this is advertised as a full-time position, part time applicants will be considered.
Our teaching and learning strategy is research based and focused on cognitive science. We have invested significantly in professional development to ensure all of our teachers are evidence informed practitioners, continuously developing their own pedagogy to ensure the very best outcomes for our learners. Our teachers work alongside a team of Personal Progression Coordinators (PPCs) to ensure that our learners are supported holistically throughout their time at Bede.
Bede is part of the Education Training Collective (Etc.) which is a group of vibrant colleges and training providers offering high quality educational opportunities. The ETC comprises of Bede Sixth Form, NETA Training, Redcar and Cleveland College, The Skills Academy and Stockton Riverside College. The Etc. delivers a full range of courses, training and apprenticeship opportunities, as well as professional and commercial courses.
