An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Teacher of Access to HE (Animal Science) at our Broomfield Hall campus. As part of the teacher role, you will deliver the practical and theory aspects of the Animal curriculum found within the Access to HE Diploma. You will be required to deliver high quality, inspirational teaching which encourages learners to reach their full potential, promoting progression on to higher level courses, apprenticeships or preparing them for successful careers working within the animal industry. As part of the Land based Higher Education wider team, you will be required to participate in the resourcing and preparation of the course delivery and assessment, undertake course administration including setting and reviewing academic targets with learners.
The successful candidate will have proven experience of providing outstanding support for learners and will be flexible, self-motivated and dedicated to student achievement and quality. Up to date knowledge and experience of the animal management sector is essential, with knowledge and experience in a broad range of industry settings advantageous.
Module planning and delivery may vary, however, experience in Animal Husbandry and Welfare, Animal Science and Study Skills will be advantageous, alongside prior teaching and assessing experience in these areas. A degree in a relevant specialism is essential. It is advantageous to have a teaching qualification - salary for an unqualified teacher is £17,027 (pro rata to £25,000 FTE) .
