Kirby Moor School - Teacher

Location: Coanwood, Northumberland

Salary: £23,000 to £38,810 (depending on experience)

We have an exciting opportunity for an exceptional Teacher to join our team at Kirby Moor School at our Herdley Bank site, which is near Haltwhistle.

Job Purpose:

To enhance the learning of pupils who have a wide range of special educational and learning needs. To enable the pupils to gain independence, participate fully in the curriculum and the general life of the school. To be adaptable, have empathy, and follow the school’s policies and practices.

About you

You will be a teacher with the ability to inspire and motivate students using your knowledge and enthusiasm.

We want to hear from dynamic and committed Primary or Secondary school trained teachers, who are happy to be flexible in the subjects they teach with a desire to work with pupils with special educational needs. Our pupils are all unique and need flexible staff who can work with pupils with behaviour which can be challenging.

  • The teacher will work with pupils who are working at levels reflecting years 1 to 11 ability.
  • This is a full-time position based at our Herdley Bank site.
  • Education staff work 8.30 to 16:00 Mon, Wed, Thurs and Fri and 8.30 to 17:00 on Wednesday
  • 38 weeks with the pupils plus 5 days INSET
