We are recruiting for a Financial Advisory Associate for the Infrastructure Project Finance team within European Structured Finance. Project Finance experience is desirable, but not essential, as we are looking for a candidate with financial modelling skills.
Profile Summary
Supporting the execution of lending and financial advisory transactions in the Infrastructure team; although also supporting such transactions in the Power and Natural Resources where necessary. The role will focus on project finance advisory as well as lending transactions in order to support analysis of markets, clients, project economics, commercial arrangements, financing plans and project risks. The market coverage is Europe, Middle East and Africa and covers a diverse range of infrastructure sectors. The roles will also involve infrastructure acquisition deals.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lending and Financial Advisory mandate support – financial analysis, evaluation of risks, project management etc.
- Assist in all aspects of the deal, including credit/ legal analysis, financial modelling, presentations to relevant committees and deal administration.
- Credit Application & Pitchbook preparation where relevant
- Coordination of relevant internal deal related processes
- Support the booking process, and ensure credit files comply with the Bank’s policies and procedures.
- Maintain integrity of relevant processes, with focus on day to day activities to ensure compliance with internal controls and policy.
- Provide general support and assistance to the team assigned from time to time
- Other duties as may be requested by the Managing Director and/or Team Head in support of the Division’s ongoing business requirement
Knowledge & Skills
- Project Finance experience – desirable
- Credit risk analysis skills - essential
- Financial modelling skills – highly desirable
- Knowledge of project and corporate finance structures, coupled with the ability to develop innovative solutions for the client – desirable
- Customer relationship management and marketing skills – desirable
- Knowledge of relevant markets and sources of finance – desirable
- Sector knowledge in Infrastructure - desirable
- Working knowledge of relevant areas of law and accounting – desirable
Qualifications and Training
- Degree or equivalent qualification - essential
- Banking training or experience – essential
- Project Finance experience – desirable
- Credit risk experience – essential.
