This is a fantastic opportunity for an Accounts & Tax Manager to join a highly reputable firm of chartered accountants on the Kent / Sussex border. This position offers fantastic internal progression prospects with potential partnership on offer in the near future, for the right candidate.
You will either be a Senior who is looking to step up, or an experienced Assistant Manager or Manager, looking to become a Partner in the next 5-7 years.
This is a really exciting opportunity to join a small but highly successful firm of chartered accountants in a general practice capacity where you will manage a portfolio of work across a range of accounts, tax, bookkeeping and VAT with the support of a small team. This opportunity would especially suit somebody who is keen to become a partner in the future. The current Partners are looking for somebody to help drive the business forward, to transition into a paperless office, and to promote their cloud services to their clients further. There is a very clear route to future partnership and the firm promotes a really lovely, relaxed working environment too. There is also an established client portfolio ready to be handed to you too.
You will be responsible for a very varied client portfolio, across a wide range of industry sectors, including sole traders, partnerships and limited companies varying in turnovers, size and complexity.

As an Accounts & Tax Manager in Cranbrook, you will be responsible for:*
- Preparation of sole trader and partnership accounts from source records.
- Preparation of limited company statutory financial statements from source records.
- Preparing corporation tax computation calculations and basic tax planning.
- Preparation and submission of VAT returns.
- Management Accounts preparation and operation.
- Use cloud accounting tools to process transactions, prepare and post journals, update all ledgers, perform bank reconciliations ready for the monthly reporting process, maintain records of our clients using accounting software packages including QuickBooks, Xero and Sage.
- Accountancy training of junior staff members and trainees.

Requirements*
As an Accounts & Tax Manager in Cranbrook, you will be:
- You will be ACA/ ACCA or qualified by experience with at least 5 years experience within practice.
- You will have worked as either a Senior or a Manager within a practice environment and have hands on experience of accounts, management accounts, tax and VAT.
- Experience of Cloud Accounting software would be advantageous- Xero,Sage or QuickBooks.

For this fantastic Accounts Assistant opportunity in Maidstone, you will have 1 - 3 years or more experience within practice, preparing accounts, tax and other responsibilities for a mixed client base of sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
