Job description
We are looking for a tax apprentice to join our tight-knit team in our office within the heart of Swansea.
Full training will be given by experienced members of staff, and arrangements will be made to enrol in a part time course with an external training provider. Training will be fully funded.
The initial job duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Keeping track of tax filing and payment deadlines for our large client base.
- Dealing directly with clients in relation to their tax payments and tax returns.
- Sending tax returns to clients and advising them of tax due and payment options.
- Liaising with HMRC in relation to any tax queries that may arise day to day.
- Completion of a range of HMRC tax forms and subsequent submission to HMRC.
This role will provide exposure to both personal tax, and corporation tax and will provide many avenues of progression within the tax department.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be very organised and conscientious.
- Work well as part of a team.
- Have a good telephone manner, and generally be confident in dealing with clients.
- Have the ability to think for themselves and put forward ideas to the rest of the team.
The duration of the apprenticeship is 12 months, but if the successful candidate proves themselves within the organisation during these 12 months, there is likely to be a full time position offered to them at end of the apprenticeship.
The working hours are Monday to Thursday, 8:45am until 5pm and Friday 8:45am until 3:45pm, with an hour given for lunch each day.
Salary: From £5.28 per hour
