The main purpose of the role is to provide insights and configuration for the scheduling and allocation engine: Taskforce. As well as the leadership of a team to achieve the business outcomes and drive engagement.
We set up the system for the optimal allocation of tasks across SD.
The role holder will:
- Lead a team to deliver the scheduling configuration, governance, and insights to drive improvements.
- Instil a culture of continuous improvement, striving to improve our systems, processes, and transactional throughput
- Carry out investigations into the schedule identifying any issues, faults or trends & taking appropriate action to remedy
- Manage the parameter settings in Taskforce. Ensuring that these are updated in a timely manner following an agreed change as signed off by the Scheduling Management Team or representative.
- Regularly review team output & push for opportunities to improve efficiency or quality.
- Working with colleagues across Openreach to improve scheduling resilience.

You'll have the following responsibilities
- Management
o Accountable for delivery operational performance metrics and enabling better quality output through meaningful coaching conversations.
- Configuration
o Share best practice & principles impacting scheduling logic across the business.
- Data Analysis & Insights
o Analyse and discover opportunities for optimisation of allocation strategies based on workstack dynamics and inputs to enable even better service and efficiency
- Change & Stakeholder Management
o Maintain integrity and drive business priorities across a diverse and changing customer base.
o Influence stakeholders, gain buy-in and proactively propose solutions, impact analysis, and expected output

You'll need to have the following skills & experience
- Ability to effectively lead teams.
- Advanced use of analytical tools and data processing including Excel, SQL and potentially R.
- Knowledge in scheduling and allocation systems & logic.
- Root-cause analysis (RCA) investigations
- Strong communication skills & senior stakeholder management.
Experience you would be expected to have
- Experience of leading a team (both in person & remotely)
- High attention to detail and ensuring system compliance
- An understanding of the scheduling logic of Taskforce
- Data management and processing
