We are searching for an enthusiastic, creative Talent Development Advisor to work with us (could be on a part-time basis), and help us manage the design, delivery and evolution of our programme.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and prioritise learning and development needs across the business
  • Work with the team to create the annual Talent Development Plan
  • Co-ordinate the production of the annual Full Circle programme and calendar
  • Work with each business area to design career development pathways, frameworks and learning and development solutions
  • Work with our teams to design, implement and evaluate a modular training programme to ensure joiners have the knowledge and skills they need to do their jobs competently and with confidence
  • Design and deliver/facilitate a range of skills workshops, virtually and in-person
  • Ensure accurate attendance, activity and evaluation records are kept up-to-date and regular summaries produced
  • To implement an online learning library, to maintain our internal content
  • To promote our learning culture, supporting and advising our employees
  • To work with the Talent team and business to continually evaluate, evolve and enhance all activities, including performance reviews, career development, on-boarding, training and recruitment, ensuring all activities remain relevant, add value and make a material difference to developing and retaining our people
  • Liaise with external vendors and facilitators, ensuring they understand our needs and culture, allowing them to deliver effective, bespoke solutions
  • Manage requests for external learning, development and professional study in line with our policies
  • Support knowledge sharing across the organisation via internal platforms
  • To identify, contribute to/own ad hoc talent development initiatives as required


Qualifications, experience and attributes


Our ideal candidate will need to meet the following criteria:


  • Demonstrable understanding of the Learning & Development cycle
  • Experience of managing in-house learning and development programmes
  • Experience of analysing and summarising learning and development needs
  • Experience of designing and delivering skills-based workshops and learning activities
  • Knowledge and practical application of evaluation methods and approaches
  • Good facilitation and presentation skills, both in-person and virtually (eg via Zoom/Teams)
  • Competent with Excel (eg summarising data using charts), PowerPoint, Teams (eg setting up evaluation surveys)
  • Strong planning, organisation and communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels
  • Passionate about developing people in their careers
