The Opportunity


Reporting into the Chief People Officer, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will manage the entire recruitment process across the UK & Europe. This will involve partnering with our stakeholders to understand the business needs and delivering proactive direct search to source, engage and select the best talent.


Beyond recruitment delivery, the role-holder will support the development of our employer brand and drive value-initiatives to ensure a high quality and diverse workforce. As we strive to develop a market-leading talent acquisition proposition, the team is encouraged to drive enhancements of our processes, systems, tools and training.


Your Responsibilities:


Business Partnering & Resource Planning

  • Partner with stakeholders to define resource requirements and support the requisition approval process.
  • Identify future skill needs and build a talent pipeline.
  • Partner with the Hiring Manager to understand the role & person requirements, advise on the market conditions and agree the best approach. Challenge the Hiring Managers to think beyond technical skill-set and consider diversity, behavioural, cultural and team fit.
  • Liaise with the Hiring Manager, Candidate, Reward and HR from intake meeting through to onboarding to give a seamless experience.

Employer Brand & Sourcing

  • Proactively promote our employer brand and value proposition.
  • Directly source candidates via multiple channels; heavy focus on LinkedIn Recruiter.
  • Proactively engage prospective candidates to pitch our employer value proposition (EVP) and qualify against our company, role & person requirements.
  • Build a pipeline for our early career programmes.
  • On the exception, engage and manage recruitment agencies to support the hiring.
  • Take ownership of the entire onboarding process, ensuring that every new starter has a seamless onboarding experience.

Quality & Diversity

  • Present and walk through the short list with the Hiring Manager, conduct market referencing and organise testing and interviews.
  • Work with the business to add value throughout the recruitment cycle to make better hiring decisions. Support and coach Hiring Managers on recruitment best practice and
  • Adhere to talent selection standards and support the balanced assessment of a candidate’s alignment with our technical, cognitive, behavioural & cultural profile.
  • Support diversity & inclusion initiatives and ensure this is embedded in our talent proposition.

Talent Acquisition Capability, Technology & Processes

  • Strive to continuously improve our talent acquisition approach, systems, tools, processes and most importantly, ourselves as talent acquisitions professionals.
  • Actively share knowledge, best practice and new ideas across the team.
  • Assist the automation and standardisation of the recruitment cycle with heavy focus on embedding Talos applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • Update Talos in real-time with a high level of accuracy & integrity, ensuring a clear audit trail.
  • Produce and analyse recruitment MI & talent metrics to shape our approach.

Skills & Experience


  • Good education (ideally Bachelor degree level) with demonstrable ability to quickly take on new information and apply themselves to new tasks.
  • Significant recruitment experience, preferably within an in-house recruitment model.
  • Candidates from an agency background are welcome and must demonstrate their capability to work on broader talent projects/tasks.
  • Previous experience overseeing the onboarding of new joiners, and working with relevant stakeholders to deliver a seamless and efficient onboarding experience.
  • Strong track record delivering technology recruitment across the UK & Europe.
  • Advanced market knowledge within Technology & Financial Services.
  • Experience building upon and improving existing recruitment processes and supporting value initiatives (e.g. D&I, recruitment training, etc.).
