Place of work: Glasgow city centre

Contract type: Permanent, 35 hours

Working Hours: Monday Friday, 9am 5pm

The Talent Acquisition Leader will be responsible for developing and executing the company's talent acquisition strategy, whilst working to help identify & attract the best talent to the firm.

The Role

As the Talent Acquisition Leader at Jones Whyte, you will work closely with hiring managers to understand their hiring needs and develop effective recruitment strategies in line with the company's overall strategy. Building and maintaining relationships with universities, job boards, agencies & other external partners will be key to attracting the top talent alongside staying up to date with the industry trends & best practices in talent acquisition.

As the newest member of our team, you will take charge of the hiring process from start to finish - from screening CVs to arranging interviews and creating a welcoming induction on day 1 for successful candidates. You will also be working closely with our Operations & People Manager to continuously develop and refine these processes as our company continues to expand.

Key Responsibilities


  • Work closely with managers to gain a comprehensive understanding of the companys hiring needs.
  • Manage the full recruiting lifecycle across a variety of open roles, helping management find, hire and retain quality talent
  • Use our Applicant Tracking System to grow and foster high-touch relationships to form talent pools to pull from as new positions open up.
  • Continuously liaise with managers to design, refine and implement innovative recruiting strategies
  • Find talent, create and release job descriptions, liaise with our marketing team to upload job adverts on LinkedIn and our company website
  • Shortlisting candidates from a variety of sources including direct applicants via our website, job boards and Recruitment Agencies
  • Answering any queries from candidates and assisting them at all stages through the recruitment and induction process.
  • Follow up on interview process status and update records in our ATS system

Who are you?


  • Previous recruitment experience either as a Recruiter or a Resource
  • A track record of developing & executing successful talent acquisition strategies
  • Familiarity with job boards and social network platforms
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills
  • The ability to build relationships at all levels of the firm.
  • Strong organisational and diary management skills.
  • Strong work ethic and team player
  • The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities


It would be desirable but not essential for you to have the following:

  • Experience developing a recruiting strategy
  • Degree/ Professional Qualification in HR, Business Administration or related
  • HR experience
