Talent Acquisition Advisor - Graduate Recruitment Bristol, England

SLR Consulting
Full Time Bristol, England 26915 - 34694 GBP ANNUAL Today
Job description

We have an exciting new opening to join the European Talent Acquisition & Recruitment team, for someone to focus on and drive forward our Graduate attraction and recruitment programme. Bringing new talent to SLR is an essential part of our ambition; to be the Global Leader in Environmental and Sustainability Solutions.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in graduate and early careers pathways and recruitment, who can build on and lead our engagement with those looking to start their careers, promoting our graduate programme, developing relationships and processes.

Team members are based in our Bristol and Exeter offices but, with genuine hybrid, agile and flexible approaches and policies, we may be open on location and balancing of office and home working is very much your decision.

The role
You will manage all aspects of SLR’s graduate recruitment, across the range of our technical disciplines, which sit within five service lines; Advisory Services; Engineering; Environmental Planning, Management & Assessment; Environmental Specialist Services and Land & Water. This means there are opportunities in sectors such as Ecology, Planning, Mining, Process Engineering and ESG, to name just a few.

With the support of the team, you will establish relationships with hiring managers and colleagues, to fully understand hiring plans and individual team dynamics, coupled with developing and building relationships with the right universities and other providers best placed to support our growth plans.

Day to day this will involve:
  • Responsible for all entry level recruitment activity, in line with the European recruitment plan, including permanent hires in to the SLR Graduate Development Programmes and Industry placement / Internships
  • Utilising your experience of working with relevant organisations to engage with and attract top talent to SLR, creating meaningful links and relationships, researching and attending events
  • Monitoring, reviewing and shortlisting applications, then organising and supporting interviews and assessment days, delivering quality feedback to both candidates and internal clients
  • Managing our processes via our in-house ATS (People Sage) and recording recruitment info / data accurately for reporting (MS Excel)
  • Providing advice and support through the hiring process, monitoring effectiveness of approaches and campaigns, implementing changes to methods and approaches

With an ability to think creatively and find new ways of working, which can be shared across the wider recruitment team and business, you’ll be encouraged to contribute to the continuous improvement approach in the SLR Talent team.

About us
SLR are global leaders in environmental and advisory solutions helping our clients achieve their sustainability goals. We are a consultancy with over 2400+ employees across 6 regions – including over 850 staff across Europe. SLR’s ‘one team’ culture is at the heart of our business, providing a collaborative and supportive environment for professional development. Along with competitive salaries, our people enjoy a comprehensive benefits package with a company pension plus excellent healthcare offering, travel and life insurance, critical illness cover and a structured career framework with regular reviews offering outstanding opportunities for progression. Alongside 25 day’s annual leave, SLR offer flexible, agile and hybrid working which enables staff to tailor hours worked around core hours, and our family friendly policies help balance the needs of professional and family life.

About you
You could already be working in an in-house team, but what is important is your understanding of graduate recruitment and ideally early careers (apprenticeships and other entry level routes).

You will enjoy working in a fast-paced and varied environment, valuing the benefits and rewards of working collaboratively, with the drive to achieve both individual and collective success.

  • Experience of graduate recruitment, creative methods of engagement and attraction, ideally in sectors relevant to SLR.
  • Good knowledge of best practice selection and interview processes, including assessment days etc.
  • Able to form positive and productive working relationships, with internal colleagues and external organisations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Fully supported by the team, you’ll have the autonomy to plan your own work, so will need excellent organisational skills for workload and diary management. You’ll bring a positive ‘can-do’ attitude and a self-motivated approach to deliver.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
SLR Consulting is committed to being an equal opportunities employer, and our expectations go beyond purely complying with legislation. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) are at the core of who we are and who we choose to be. We embrace diverse cultures, perspectives, skills, and experiences within and outside our organisation. We respect and celebrate difference to ensure SLR is a place where everyone feels included, is encouraged to be their authentic self and has opportunities to grow.

Across Europe, our DE&I agenda is driven forward through our DE&I Committee, which actively promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion across both our internal processes and our client work. Globally, our Global Culture & Diversity Council brings together representatives from across our regions to share ideas and best practice that can be incorporated into our global policies, enabling greater transparency and supporting the development of an inclusive culture, inclusive approaches to policies and practices, and to personal behaviours.
