About the role…
You will be required to provide 2nd Line support for customer technical services including monitoring, incidents, changes and appropriate service requests within agreed service hours and to agreed service levels. You will work with and manage escalations or complex requests from all sources regarding fulfilment, communicating and engaging other parties (including 3rd parties) as required
What do we need from you?
- Relevant experience of technical network support in a Service Provider / Outsource environment.
- CCNA – required.
- Knowledge of Juniper, Palo Alto & Cisco Firewalls.
- Working knowledge of key infrastructural technologies (Storage, Networking etc) and how they interact within an overall technical solution. Relevant hands-on experience relating to these technologies preferred.
- Proven capability and demonstrable experience of problem, incident and change management.
It would be advantageous (not essential) for you to have:
- Knowledge of Network analytical tools such as Wireshark.
- Knowledge of Cisco and Extreme management tools.
- Knowledge of and experience with configuring and troubleshooting.
- Wireless technologies including Meraki, Cisco, Aruba and Extreme.
- Network technologies including Cisco switches / routers.
- SD-WAN including Meraki and Fortinet.
- Load balancers including F5 / Kemp Load balancer configuration and fault finding.
- Tier 2 Broadband / Ethernet support including traffic shaping.
