Tannlin is headquartered thirty miles south of Glasgow, adjacent to Prestwick International Aerospace Park, in Scotland. The Group supplies customers in aerospace, medical, defence, electronic and automotive industries; where Tannlin Technology designs and manufactures laser cutting systems, laser cut parts and is the home of the research and development group; and Tannlin UK designs and manufactures laser cut stencils and PCBA tooling. Manufacturing sites and sales offices worldwide allow Tannlin to work closely with customers in the twenty eight countries that Tannlin has exported to.
Tannlin are recruiting a Systems Technician to join the team assisting in the build, installation and support of our systems. The position will involve new systems and support of existing systems through both remote diagnostic support and site visits.
DESCRIPTION OF THE ROLE
- Assisting team with system build
- Building electrical control panels for production systems
- Building production automation cells
- Maintaining drawings packs, user manuals and maintenance documents
- Supporting new customer installations
- Supporting existing installations
- Providing remote technical support to customers worldwide
The position is full time/permanent (subject to a satisfactory trial period).
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
- HND or time-served with experience in either mechanical, electrical and electronic engineering or another relevant discipline preferable
- Manufacturing environment experience
- Experience in using workshop tools and test equipment
- Logical working approach
- Drawing interpretation
- Customer interfacing
- Prioritisation and planning of own work

- Good communication skills
