Position Summary/Goal:
The IT Systems Technician I provides support for a wide range of technology equipment throughout Erie’s Public Schools including Windows computers, Chromebooks, iPads, and peripherals. This entry level position will work collaboratively with the IT Helpdesk to identify, resolve, and document support requests assigned locations.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in an IT-related field or an equivalent combination of training and professional experience supporting technology equipment as determined by Erie’s Public School’s IT administration
- Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision identifying and resolving technical issues
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle
Experience:
- Experience providing technical support for a wide range of computers, operating systems, personal devices, and peripherals
- Experience repairing Windows computer and mobile device hardware including laptops, Chromebooks, and iPads
- Basic understanding of networking technologies
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides technical support to administration, teachers, students, and staff throughout Erie’s Public Schools
- Facilitates the setup, delivery, and return process of student and staff devices to ensure the seamless operation of the District’s 1:1 Initiative
- Identifies technology issues within assigned locations while documenting resolutions in the IT ticketing system, escalating cases when necessary
- Participates in IT projects and works collectively with other IT team members to support Erie’s Public Schools technology initiatives
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $40,000.00 per year
