Your Role

In this role, you will play a pivotal part in designing, implementing, and optimizing systems and processes associated with wastewater treatment and fuel production. Working collaboratively with a diverse group of engineers, scientists, and technicians, your responsibilities will involve developing and deploying innovative solutions that enhance efficiency and productivity. This position offers an exciting chance to contribute to the advancement of groundbreaking technologies in the renewable energy field.

A typical month will include:

  • Collaborate with the engineering team to design and develop system architectures and processes, ensuring compatibility and integration of different subsystems.
  • Conduct research and feasibility studies to evaluate the technical viability and potential impact of new technologies in the field.
  • Perform system modelling and analysis to optimize performance and enhance efficiency.
  • Collect and analyse data from various sources to identify trends, troubleshoot issues, and propose improvements.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system specifications, standard operating procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of systems and processes.
  • Assist in the construction, installation, and commissioning of pilot-scale and full-scale systems.
  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements and trends in wastewater treatment, renewable energy, and related technologies.

Skill, knowledge, experience

  • Degree in mechanical, environmental engineering or related fields
  • Recent graduate or up to 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Familiarity of wastewater treatment processes.
  • Proficiency in engineering software tools for system modelling and simulation such as MATLAB/Simulink
  • Knowledge and experience in using SysML / UML for capturing and documenting system requirements, behaviours, and interactions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Particulars

Role reports to: Chief Engineer

Annual renumeration: £35 - 55k + Pension

Holiday allowance: 25 days + bank holidays + Christmas shutdown

Typical working hours: 37.5 hour per week

Salary: £35,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
