What You’ll Get to Do: The successful candidate will support the Department of Defense (DoD) Chief Information Officer Statutory Implementation (CSI) Directorate developing, assessing, and making recommendations on technical solutions for DoD records management requirements. You will be a member of a collaborative team of subject matter experts that improve DoD records management policy, technology, and strategy; and provide oversight of the DoD Records Management Program. You will translate records management requirements to ensure records management functionality in various DoD IT environments and a part of the DoD processes for program, budget, planning, and execution (PPBE) and acquisition or implementation. You will provide expertise that considers the evolving technical and architectural complexity of electronic records management for IT system and services.
More About the Role: Works within the Office of the Secretary of Defense in collaboration with a records management team that extends across DoD. Develops records management related material that provides options and informs DoD Senior Leadership on decisions to improve DoD’s records management capabilities. Provides technical expertise that supports development, implementation, and integration of DoD records management policy, strategy, and records management aspects of the DoD enterprise architecture. Provides technical leadership that assists DoD Components with translating records management requirements into IT solutions for the DoD records management community, using collaborative software during periodic team meeting.

Demonstrated skill in:
- Communicating technical information to a non-technical audience;
- Brainstorming new ways to add more functionality to systems
- Interpreting complex information from different sources
- Analyzing the capacity of computer systems and map out strategies to improve productivity
- Strategic thinking and problem solving
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
- Staffing and preparing action packages
- Familiarity with Electronic Records Management and Records Management Applications
- Experience monitoring and maintaining IT systems
- Familiar with the acquisition process
- Understanding of information management issues
Must have Active Secret or Top Secret Clearance, Master’s Degree in Information Technology or related field and 12 years of experience in related field.
